Meet Our Team

Venessa didn't find design. She came back to it.

She grew up between California and the Pacific Northwest, the daughter of a man who ran his own landscaping company and showed her, without ever saying it outright, that beauty was worth building. She lost him when she was fourteen. She grew up fast, and for a long time she channeled that into taking care of others. A decade in healthcare, rising from caregiver to program manager in Spokane, Washington, taught her how to hold complexity without losing people, and how much the environment around us shapes the way we feel, heal, and move through the world.

When COVID fractured the healthcare system she had already begun to question, she made a decision that had been forming for years. She moved back to California, stepped away from a path that no longer aligned with her values, and enrolled at the Interior Designers Institute in Newport Beach. What followed was a role in architectural and design sales working alongside firms like Gensler, product development work, and the deliberate building of a practice with something to say.

Intentional Design House is the result of that whole journey. Venessa is an active member of ASID Orange County, NKBA SoCal, and NEWH, and brings hands-on experience across residential, commercial, and hospitality design to every client relationship. She believes that great design should feel personal, tell a story, and do less harm in the world. When you work with IDH, you are working with someone who has spent her entire life learning how to take care of people. The spaces are just where that shows up most.
